Do you have to pay for your baggage? I understand there is a charge for extra baggage and/or overweight luggage. But on their website it says to pay for baggage. $5 online or $10 airport. I thought that 1 baggage and 1 carry on was allowed without a charge and then any addt'l baggage had a fee. I emailed Spirit and they didn't answer my question.

Most airlines $50 charge or more for over weight luggage its usually around 50 lbs or more. I used to fly for Spirit and I do believe they started a $10 or $20 charge, depending if you pay it online or not, buy yes they do charge for checked luggage.
