I am very new to this area.. and I am planning to take a tour of angel island over the weekend. Does anybody know of any free parking near fisherman's wharf or union square. If I park at union square then I believe I can take muni and reach pier 39.

Also, how is the drive from union square to fisherman's wharf. Its it too curvy..too many ups and downs?
If not free then how much does it cost to park ca for say 4-5 hours.

    Free parking? Surely you jest.

On Union Square, your cheapest parking is going to be the Sutter/Stockton garage or the one on Mission/5th. (The City-owned garages are the cheapest.)

For 4-5 hours it'll probably run about $20.

The drive from Union Square to Fisherman's Wharf is a straight shot over the hill. No curves, one bit up and one big down.
