I plan on going to London with a friend, and I just wanted to know, something about luggage. I've heard that people like to steal stuff from bags, and i would be REALLY pissed if that happened. So, whats the best safest way to get my stuff from here (NYc) to there? I'd only be carrying like one carry on and like one roller bag for my stuff. Should i have it delivered to the destination hotel, or should i just brave it out and take the risk? Like, i dont carry extremely expensive stuff, but i would have things that i'd hate to lose. So, what's the best way to get there w/o having the risk of my luggage being stolen and such? Thanks

Put electronics like i-pods in your carry-on, along with camera. jewelry other valuables..then NEVER set it down in the airport...I attatch a "leash" to it that I can loop around my wrist if I must put it down...and always place it between my feet. In your checked suitcase, put only clothing. You can get a TSA lock at Target or Walmart. The TSA can open it, but no one else. And if there are no cameras or valuables it it you are better off. See site below for good ideas about protecting your luggage.

Having made that trip several times myself I would say there is not much to worry about. the worst is when you have a layover with your luggage with you. In that case if you have to sleep just sleep on top of your luggage.

In any case, buy some airline approved locks at pretty much any store that has luggage like Wal Mart, Target, etc.
