Come to New York City. There's plenty of shopping at various levels in Manhattan. There are also plenty of other tourist attractions in case you get bored or run out of money. On my trip to Europe, I saw lots of Europeans returning home with their loot.

I would suggest Chicago. They have top-notch shopping opportunities on North Michigan Avenue. They also have wonderful art at the Chicago Art Institute, museums like the Natural History Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry. Then there is the natural beauty of Lake Michigan. There are many parks and recreational opportunities along the lake shore.

If you like night life and clubbing, there is also quite a party culture after dark! They also have major league sports teams if that interests you.

After all this, the people tend to be pretty nice too!
