I live in Indonesia and this country is good for cheap goods, but the quality might not be so great, but everything is cheap compared to Europe/America and many parts of Asia. I live in Bali and its a good place if you like beaches and relaxing.

Singapore is also a good place to visit. Shopping there is great, but it is for sure not cheap, but the quality is some of the best in Asia.

And if you're a foodie, which I am, Asia is heaven. You can go to any street vendor and have better food than that of a 5-star restaurant at a tenth of the price.

    I hope this helps

    Cheers

Philippines is a must. Large malls are all around Metro Manila including Mall of Asia. Cheap stuffs are located mainly in Divisoria, Baclaran, Quiapo. There are also some bazaars.

Don't miss Bangkok, Thailand, too!!!! There are endless opportunities for buying interesting stuff at bargain prices in Thailand, especially in Bangkok markets like Chatuchak, the Suan Luam night bazaar, megamalls like MBK and the ritzy high-society temples of consumerism like Siam Paragon and Emporium. G'luck and have a nice trip.

You will love my contry Philippines, because it has more than 7,000 islands to chose from. It is the only Hispanic country in Asia, so you must see these places.

Hi everyone, I am planning a trip to Thailand and would want to try another city. I have tried Bangkok and liked it. Someone suggested Chiang Mai: www.mapjack.com/ChiangMai Anyone been in this place? How was it? I want to get comments before making my decision. Thanks.
