I'm packing for a holiday with 3 children and an infant.
We are flying to Spain. Can anyone tell me something I've forgotten. |

Their favourite sweets or treats, they may not be the same over there or may cost a fortune, back years ago, we had to pay over £1 for a mars bar, when they only cost a few pence here as we were away for 2 weeks and son couldn't wait for one after seeing it in a shop window.

boiled sweets for the ear popping experience for the infant you can get headphones that go over the ears to help balance the pressure.
with young kids you wont need the alarm clock so put it back. also if you are bottle feeding I recomend you take your own new travel kettle to avoid the scummy bits in the young ones bottles |

-Health insurance (just in case!!!)
-VERY high SPF for your kids (especially the infant, who should never even be exposed to direct harsh sunlight) - I recommend 60SPF even for adults' faces -any prescription medications -lists of what they're allergic to in Spanish -learning key phrases just in case you're somewhere where they don't speak English and your children (or yourself) get hurt -a book with pronunciation and phrases in Spanish -toys or books to keep them occupied on the plane or in cab rides, or when you want some quiet time in the hotel - colouring books are wonderful distractions for them -a digital camera to capture all the memories of your children's first trip to Spain - extra changes of clothes in case they get into something messy on the trip on the last day and you've run out of clothes for them -sunglasses and hats for them all -definitely don't forgot any travel documents for them (passports, birth certificates or whatever you may need, you'll know better than me what's required for kids to go to Spain) Have a fun time. I'm so jealous. I'm sure you'll end up forgetting something minor like a toothbrush (I always do! :P). Bon Voyage!!! **Before you land, to help with ear popping, give your children chewing gum if they're allowed to have it. I chew on ice because I have really bad problems with landing and ice totally works (and no it doesn't ruin my teeth haha). Gummy bears might be O.K. too, I doubt you have to go spend money on something to ease the ear popping. |

check online for things to do for all of your ears!!!! make sure that you take formula and bottles for the flight, you will have to buy water once you have passed security.
I have just returned from a trip on Sunday, and I have a clogged ear that is painful. you can look up airplane ear, or how to prevent airplane ear. My little girl who is 10, had a very painful experience, but she got better once I gave her a sucker. but there is lots of info on the net regarding what you need to prevent or help prevent this. |
