    i have never travelled before and I always thought you an lock your luggage. but I just posted another question regarding locks and a couple people have mentioned you cannot lock your luggage. what is up with that??something will get stolen!

    9/11. You can get TSA-approved locks. They can unlock it and relock it if they want to examine your luggage.

    Yes, you can lock your luggage. If TSA wants to inspect your bag and you aren't available to unlock it, they can cut the lock. I always lock my luggage.

    You can still lock your luggage. You can buy and use a TSA approved combination or key type lock. The TSA can easily open the lock if they want to inspect the luggage contents using their combination or key. (They might not remember to put the lock back on your suitcase, but that's another story.) Or you can use one of your own non TSA luggage locks which they will cut off if they want to inspect your luggage. Go to the Magellan's web site to see a selection of TSA locks.
